U Zagrebu je dana 19. svibnja 2004. osnovano Hrvatsko društvo klarinetista (HDK) kao krovna strukovna udruga hrvatskih klarinetista. Na osnivackoj skupštini usvojen je statut udruge, izabrani su clanovi upravnog vijeća, predsjednik i tajnik, te je donijeta odluka o pokretanju postupka za upis u Registar. Hrvatsko društvo klarinetista potom je (7. rujna 2004.) registrirano kod tijela opće uprave kao pravni subjekt te je započelo sa svojim javnim djelovanjem.
Za predsjednika društva jednoglasno je izabran Niko Marušić, a za tajnika, takoder jednoglasno, Davor Polšek. Ostala tijela HDK-a jesu: Upravno vijeće koje zajedno s predsjednikom broji osam clanova te, kao najviše tijelo, Skupština društva. Sjedište udruge je u Zagrebu, Trg žrtava fašizma 9.
Ciljevi i zadaci HDK-a pobliže su opisani u Statutu udruge, a odnose se na potrebu za strukovnim organiziranjem klarinetista svih usmjerenja, razmjenu informacija, organizaciju strucnih seminara i koncerata, odnosno na zaštitu interesa glazbenih umjetnika i pedagoga klarinetista, njihovih prava u zemlji i inozemstvu, te poticanje, razvijanje i unapredenje glazbene i šire umjetničke djelatnosti na području Republike Hrvatske.


Hrvatsko društvo klarinetista poziva sve hrvatske klarinetiste na prijam u društvo kao njihovu krovnu strukovnu i umjetnicku udrugu ciji je osnovni cilj zaštita njihovih interesa. Croatian Clarinet Society CCS (HDK) was founded on the 19th of May 2004 in Zagreb, Croatia as the highest professional association of Croatian clarinet players. The Constitution of the Society was adopted, members of the Administraive Board as well as the Chairman and the Secretary were elected at the Foundation Convention. Decision to start the procedure of registration was also made on the Convention meeting. Croatian Clarinet Society was subsequently (7th Septhember 2004) registered at the Civil Service Authorites as the legal subject with power to start its public activity.
The Chairman – Niko Marušic, and the Secretary – Davor Polšek were unanimously elected. Other bodies of CCS are Administrative Board (8 members, chairman included) and Assembly of the Society which is the main body of CCS. The headquarters of the Society are located on the following address:

The aims and duties of CCS are described in the Constituion of the Society particularly referring to the need of professional organizing of the clarinettists of all prefferences, exchange of information, organization of master classes and concerts. Protection of interests of musical artists and clarinet educators as well as protection of their rights in Croatia and abroad are also listed among the aims and duties of CCS. Another important feature described in the Constitution of Association is initializing and stimulating, developing and advancing of musical and other artistic activities in Croatia
